Mid-Season Update - Week 7 2020

Well, I guess the first week I finally lose is a good a time as any to update this thing.  Sorry for the lack of posts this year, all!  As with all of us, 2020 kinda flipped my stuff upside down and I have not had nearly the same amount of time for fantasy stuff as usual.  But football came and happened anyway, so we still gotta enjoy it!

Colorexico

As expected, ACL has led the way in Colorexico division, only finally coming to its first loss at the hands of BgDkDdys, Well...really it's because Zeke had an entire offense all to himself and did absolutely nothing with it.  Why can I not escape McCarthy, even when he leaves Green Bay?

Doctor B is comfortably tied with ACL at 5-1, and second in overall points.  They are likely happy that Julio is back to being Julio, though the JuJu slide can't have been a fun ride.  Reek's Revenge comes in at 3rd in the division.  What a great hit on that Claypool pick!  Not only is he a stud, he gave the team enough depth they were able to take advantage of Odell's buy-low window.

Rounding out the division at 2-4 are the tied Zombies and Futures.  Yep...defending champs are last in the division and 8th overall after 6 weeks.  What happened?  I mean...the team couldn't even beat a team starting two inactive players last week.  Speaking of the Zombies, ouch what a rough week 7 with byes and inactive players.  Not a lot of options for those flex spots, but at least Henry is going crazy!

Newizona

Over in the other division the tEDDy bEARs are sitting alone at the top after 4 straight wins putting them at 5-1.  They may run into a bit of difficulty in the coming weeks, though, since Fitz was just benched for Tua.  They could turn to Wentz...but he's been trash.  Ol' reliable Brees is still hanging around, maybe time for a return!

Next up are the BgDkDdys and Land O'Nutts at 3-3.  The Ddys might be taking a hit in the coming weeks as their 1st round pick just got some Bell-sized competition, and this is a rough year to be looking at benches for backups.  The Nutts have survived the year relatively unscathed by injuries or COVID, and their annual QB carousel might finally have landed with Allen's solid, reliable scoring.

Next in the division is the TDs, who have struggled with their stud TE, Ertz, just not being his normal self.  The team has gotten a bit of good news, though, with their long-time RB1 since season 1 of the league back on a contending team!  Just in time to swap out Mike Davis who has performed amazingly in CMC's absence.

Finally, last in the division.  Last in the league.  We come to the winless E-Munnies.  You hate to see it.  A former champion sitting dead last.  Can't even really blame it on injury, as the team had suffered very little player loss until Dak's foot fell off on Sunday, and it's not like anyone would take Dak over Lamar anyway.  I went back and looked at the scores for the past few weeks to see what went wrong, and it turns out the E-Munnies faced the top-scoring team 5 out of 6 times (the 6th time being against the Ddys who put up their season-high score).  Ouch.

Thanks for sticking it out even though this year hasn't been quite up to my usual standards of commishing!  I'm just glad we even got football, to be honest I would have bet on a cancelled season if you had asked me at any point over the summer.  I hope you and your families are healthy and doing as well as possible as we weather this horrible year.  Fingers crossed we get the full season!
