Week 16

All good things come to an end, like yet another rockstar roster biting the dust one week too early.  Two teams remain, the defending champion and a team making their first appearance in the finals.  The TDs and ACL fell short once again in typically devastating fashion...but there's always next year!

Week 15

And then there were four.  The tEDDy bEARs pulled off a heartbreaking defeat of the Runners on Monday night, where Collins needed only a single additional TD, but was vultured twice!  The bEARs made the ultimate sacrifice, though, losing Wentz to an ACL tear at a critical moment in their attempt to repeat.  Also losing a QB at a crucial moment was the Ddys.  Even though Brady had an unusually terrible game, a -1 from McCown was too much to overcome.

Week 14

A season that remained competitive all the way til the end is something to be proud of, but now it's time for the big dance.  Byes are set, and six teams remain to battle it out for the trophy!

Week 13

The time has come.  Three teams have now been eliminated from contention for the 2017 season, Land O'Nutts, Radioactive Zombies, and Julio and Friends.  This is extra tragic for the Friends, since they put up the 2nd highest score last week off the back of a monster Julio game.  Unfortunately it wasn't enough, and wins by other teams have put them out of the running.  We go into week 13 with 5 teams locked in (including the TDs securing the Newizona bye), and 2 teams fighting over the last wildcard spot.

Week 12

I totally called that Munnies/Nutts game didn't I?  The Nutts pulling off the unthinkable has resulted in an exciting situation as we come down to our last two weeks of regular season play!  The top 5 playoff spots are locked in for the top 5 teams, though the byes are still in dispute.  The last playoff spot is in contention for the bottom 5 teams, EACH of whom can still claim it!  Two weeks left and not a single team has been eliminated.  This season has been awesome!

Week 11

You wanna talk about parity?  How about literally half of the league being tied for 1st going into week 11?  On top of that, not a single team has been mathematically eliminated yet, so wildcards are still up for grabs for everyone!  Isn't fantasy great?

Week 10

Heading out to a wedding so this one will be short and sweet, but I can't skip another week since apparently it means I lose the following game!

Week 8

Two weeks pass and still Newizona is a mess.  Three teams are tied for the lead in wins, and also tied for 2nd in the whole league.  The TDs, Munnies, and bEARs seem to be destined for a brutal stretch through the back half of the season.  Unfortunately for the Ddy's and Nutts that means they'll need quite a change to happen for their teams to have a shot at a wildcard.  Over in Colorexico ACL has held the lead, though they did suffer a loss two weeks ago to the Ddys (mostly due to the tragic loss of Rodgers).  Runner Runner is still within a game of the lead, but also is within a game of dropping to 3rd if Julio and Friends can pull it together.  Fun fact: The Friends and Runners are within half a point of each other in average scoring over the season.

Week 6

It has been quite a while since the last post, and for that I apologize!  I could give some excuses, but that's boring and not why you're reading this.  Things have shaken out quite a bit in the rankings, and only one team remains undefeated (in spite of heavy losses to season-ending injuries).  The Ddys, Futures, and Nutts are starting to fall out of it, but it's still early enough in the season for them to turn it around if they can navigate their own injuries!

Week 3

Only .05pts separated the two top scores last week, with the Munnies barely pulling it off on the back of Brady's monster game.  Colorexico Division is starting to spread apart in standings already, while Newizona is still literally anyone's to take (seriously, each team is 1-1, weird).  E-Munnies and Runner Runner made a deal to better both teams, though time will tell if one side came out ahead.

Week 2

Injuries.  Aren't they a bitch?  I know I say this every year, but it seems like big names are getting hit hard, early this time around.  Of course, mostly it just hit ACL so far, who lost ARob for the season and Odell for who knows how long.  They barely squeaked out a win against the Munnies, and then only because of the hurricane-delayed game!  The Futures also suffered a heavy loss with DJ heading to IR.  Add on what might be a league record for lowest weekly score with the Friends' 52pts...what a way to start the season!

Week 1 Preview

Hey guys!  Sorry I haven't had as much time this offseason for the regular updates.  Moving, apparently, eliminates all free time even when you aren't working.  Who knew?  Regardless, the season is upon us and we're primed for another exciting season!

As I mentioned before, I don't have much time this week, so I won't be able to go game by game like usual.  I will mention the unfortunate situation the Munnies find themselves in with the Buccs/Phins decision.  That sucks, but not much we can do about it!  And I need every advantage I can get!

The biggest change that occurred this offseason was of course when founding owner of the Sicarios sold his team to Mr. Smothers.  The new owner has rebranded the franchise as the Radioactive Zombies, and their new logo and jerseys are still yet to be seen.  Though the team is looking forward to a brighter future, the new management is concerning some as they haven't yet set a lineup despite the week starting in mere hours.  Don't fuck up your debut, Jack!

2017 Draft Review

Our second rookie draft, and only two autodraft picks!  We're getting better, slowly.  There wasn't much movement around the draft board this year, as opposed to last time.  Only two picks were traded.  Though a couple of owners were trying to move up in the 1st round, after the draft started it seemed the early pick owners had their targets set.
