Week 2

Injuries.  Aren't they a bitch?  I know I say this every year, but it seems like big names are getting hit hard, early this time around.  Of course, mostly it just hit ACL so far, who lost ARob for the season and Odell for who knows how long.  They barely squeaked out a win against the Munnies, and then only because of the hurricane-delayed game!  The Futures also suffered a heavy loss with DJ heading to IR.  Add on what might be a league record for lowest weekly score with the Friends' 52pts...what a way to start the season!

Week 2 Preview

I know I usually do a review of the previous week's games here, but this week I once again am short on time, so we're skipping straight to the matchups.

The Radioactive Zombies are still awaiting their new brand and uniforms from some lazy graphic designer, but they struggle on anyway!  0-1 out the gate, they face the injury-riddled ACL this week.  They are still short a player on the defensive line, so hopefully they get that squared away before Sunday.  With Hunt and Fournette locked in, the team looks great for being so new.  Former management left them with a nice young backfield to start the rebuild.  ACL was forced to plug in Miller with Arob out and OBJ potentially not playing late in the week, and it may cost them.  They'll need another big game out of Zeke (and hopefully a few more this season before the inevitable suspension sets in).

The Futures have yet to set their lineup, and with a couple inactive players the manager may need to wake up!  They were gifted a pretty light score out of Nuk, but without a full lineup they will gift the win to the defending champs.

An interesting turn of events has the Nutts in the positive and the Munnies in the negative in standings.  This week the Munnies will again have their full lineup (minus Edelman, of course), so should put up a more respectable score.  Especially with the Pats playing New Orleans this week.  The Nutts will be hoping McCoy shakes off whatever injury had him sidelined at practice on Friday, likey nothing big but it's never fun going into the weekend with information like that.

The TDs came out firing with the top score last week, in spite of Bell's goose egg.  This week they look to take advantage of DJ's injury as they plug in Kerwynn Williams alongside Le'Veon.  The Ddy's are hoping last week's performance out of Cousins was a fluke.  They'll need big numbers to go up against the TDs.

Speaking of poor QB performance...Andy Dalton.  Oh...Dalton.  By the time of this posting the Bengals have become the first NFL team since the 30s to fail to score a single TD after starting two games at home.  Brutal.  It might be time for the Friends to change things up, especially as they face a team with very little weakness in it's starting lineup.
