Week 11

You wanna talk about parity?  How about literally half of the league being tied for 1st going into week 11?  On top of that, not a single team has been mathematically eliminated yet, so wildcards are still up for grabs for everyone!  Isn't fantasy great?

Week 10 Review

The inevitable Zeke suspension finally hit, and at the worst possible time for ACL.  Earlier in the season they may have weathered his absence, but injuries have left their bench nonexistent, and the two-game losing streak shows it.  They almost pulled off the win against TDs despite it all, except Stafford decided to pull a Stafford and blow up in the second half.  I do want to take a moment to point out the solid coaching by both managers, though, I mean look at this:

That 6% difference in efficiency is the reason TDs won.  Good coaching!

Land O'Nutts, on the other hand, had a rough go of it with their chosen starters.  Goff's explosive week was left on the bench, and the team lost to the bEARs (18 points out of their kicker...come on).  The E-Munnies wiped the floor with the Ddys, who decided this was the week to give up on Sanders.  Runner Runner pulled off a modest win against the Hunt-less Zombies.  They were forced to start Rawls...ew.

Finally, in what is becoming more and more common for the team, Julio and Friends suffered a brutal loss to the late-season run from the Futures.  It should have been an easy win with Diggs and JuJu going off, but then Funchess happened.

Week 11 Preview

Having recently lost control of Colorexico division, ACL is desperate to put a stop to their losing streak.  Julio and Friends are a game behind the Futures and Ddys in the hunt for a playoff spot, so every game matters!   Things have gotten so bad for ACL that they are considering running a two TE set for the first time in franchise history.  Engram is basically a receiver anyway, right?  The Friends' lineup is so sexy on paper, yet they disappoint again and again.  Is this the week their namesake player finally earns it?

The E-Munnies are in a three-way tie for Newizona's bye, and find themselves playing one of two 2-8 teams this week.  Things just keep getting worse for the Nutts; regardless of who they start at QB they'll be facing a top-6 defense against the pass.  I'm trying to think of some way to talk up the Nutts side of this...but it's proving difficult.  Maybe Ingram will get another 3TD game?

Runner Runner is down a linebacker, but I imagine that will be resolved by kickoff.  Though in league standings they are behind ACL, due to the divisional implication for bye-standings, they currently hold the Colorexico bye.  It is a tenuous hold, at best, and this is a divisional opponent.  Any loss could hand the bye back over.  This week they face the Futures, who despite an abysmal season have turned it around in the last few weeks and emerged an actual contender.  In a fun twist of fate, the Runners will have to root against Bortles (assuming, of course, that their dynasty team is more important than their NFL team...which of course it is!).

The Zombies are in a bit of a bye-week bind going up against the bEARs.  While they are not yet out of the running, they will need to win out to make an attempt at one of the wildcard spots.  It's difficult to make a decent prediction with the two starting lineups in such disarray, but it seems safe to say the Zombies will need Hunt to come back strong to have a chance at the win against a bEARs team tied for 1st in the division.

With the five 7-3 teams more or less guaranteed a playoff spot, that leaves one wildcard spot up for grabs.  The Ddys are one of the remaining five teams with a chance at that spot, and with Sanders back in the lineup is in a decent position to put a stop to the TDs recent run.  With Vinatieri on bye this week, I'm reminded of a move the TDs made two years ago, around this time.  Remember when they dropped David Johnson to pick up a Monday night kicker?  I 'member.

Just a quick reminder as we wind down the regular season, the trade deadline is week 13.  So any last minute deals you want to get made, make em happen soon!
