Heading out to a wedding so this one will be short and sweet, but I can't skip another week since apparently it means I lose the following game!
So congrats to Runner Runner for taking advantage of the blog curse, and giving the appropriately named ACL their second loss, and closing the gap between them for the bye. The Futures woke up and realized they still have a shot at a wildcard! They took down the Zombies, unfortunately making them the first team mathematically eliminated from a divisional playoff spot. It's still possible for the new team to take a wildcard spot, though, so not all is lost!
As expected, the Munnies struggled during the New England bye week, and lost to the bEARs. Combined with the TDs defeat of the Nutts, and Newizona is back in a 3-team tie for 1st place! It's not often that a division can go into week 10 with such a close race. The Ddy's are only a couple games behind the top 3, so still have plenty of opportunity to get back into it.
Julio and Friends took brutal hits from Doug and AJ, the latter's uncharacteristically aggressive behavior putting suspension on the minds of many. Luckily, it looks like he avoided the Mike Evans treatment, and will just suffer a fine for his punches thrown.
All said, no teams have yet been eliminated from playoffs, so plenty of football left to go! From Texas with love, your commish wishes you luck!
