Week 2 Preview

An auction draft way too early in the year followed by one of the most injury-prone preseason/week 1's in recent memory has left many teams wishing they had an IR slot to stash all of their high-hoped starters.  For the Long Haul probably got the worst of it with Kelvin Benjamin's early ACL tear followed by the heartbreaking (footbreaking?) Dez Bryant injury.  That being said, the season is still well under way and most teams look good to make a push for the inaugural playoffs!

Week 1 Recap

There was no middle ground for week 1's matchups, they were either nail-bitingly close or complete blowouts from start to finish.  Patriot's Skill Position Players absolutely wrecked the already fighting from behind Arrogance Can't Lose, with the aforementioned skill players reaffirming the coach's heavy New England investment.  Brady, Gronkowski, and Edelman combined for a Thursday night score of 91.5 pts.  The pressure was too much for ACL's players, especially for the elder Manning, who was really showing his age in Sunday morning's game.

The second big blowout was between standings leader tEDDy bEARs and Victorious Secret.  Surprise performances out of late picks Kelce and Ivory gave the bEARs a solid advantage the cheap but disappointing Secret players.

The divisional game of Sicarios vs. For the Long Haul ended up being the closest matchup, with only an 8.2 pt. difference.  Unfortunately for the Haul, Dez's injury put an end to the expected late night run to victory.

Week 2 Preview

The Sicarios are projected an easy 24 pts. ahead of ACL, which isn't surprising considering the bum luck the latter has had with injuries as of late.  Not willing to submit to superstition, the underdog's coach is confident his team will rise to the occasion.   Sicarios have made the interesting decision to hold onto former NE/MIA/MIA one week wonder, Jonas Gray, perhaps as support for the question mark that is Legarrette Blount.  ACL has decided to go all in on rookie Ameer Abdullah after his solid week 1 performance.

League favorites tEDDy bEARs are projected to continue their dominance against the young Futures.   Hoping that their sleeper stars Ivory and Kelce continue to perform, vets Rodgers and D.Murray have vengeance on their minds for Sunday.  Rodgers faces the team that he should have defeated on the road to the Super Bowl last year, while Murray faces his former team and the new guy trying to take his spot.  On the other side of the field we have the young and still proving themselves players on The Futures.  Will Cooper continue getting the targets in Oakland?  Will T.Coleman continue to impress?

A 25 pt. difference has Land O' Nutts favored against the Pats.  Continuing to bet everything on their AFC namesake, the underdogs need the Bills to remember they are the Bills on Sunday.  With Jeffery's apparent return, the Pats have the potential to pull off the win.  Land O' Nutts are also heavily invested in one team for this matchup.  Lacy and Cobb will need to secure their revenge against Seattle, and hopefully history doesn't repeat itself in Green Bay.

With a spread of only 6 pts., this matchup is anyone's game.  The Ddys have paid no mind to week 1's anomalies, and are continuing to invest in both Luck and the elder Manning.  In years past, there have always been plenty of targets to go around in Denver, hopefully age is just a number.  Secret has faced its own QB dilemmas, with both Stafford and Bridgewater leaving fans wanting.  With Yeldon securing his spot as the top option in Jacksonville, Secret has to hope that Miami doesn't run away with the game early.

Haul has had a difficult go of it so far in the season, losing team star Dez combined with lackluster performances from Miller, Crowell, and the expected star rookie Agholor.  On the other hand, Here's underestimated players did surprisingly well in week 1, with T.Austin earning himself two TDs, and we don't even need to talk about the last big name WR still standing.  Julio's numbers speak for themselves.
