Week 3 Preview

The injury bus didn't stop after week 2, seems we are all in for a long trip this season!  With Lacy, T.Coleman, Romo, Hyde, Decker, and Adams all leaving their games with injuries (some more severe than others), this week should be an interesting ride on the waiver wire!

Week 2 Recap

What a crazy scoring week, even with all the players out for injuries!  The bug hasn't yet struck New England, which works out nicely for the newly renamed E-MunniesGronk and Brady continued their bromance (with Edelman snuggling up nicely for some PPR love) which helped the E-Munnies absolutely dominate the week with a record breaking 172 pts!  Even with Land O' Nutts putting up a respectable 119, there was no way they could have overcome Lacy's departure.

Second in points for the week (and again just shy of a team logo) was Victorious Secret, who were able to put up an impressive 144 pts. against the BgDkDdys in spite of Fleener's goose egg.  The Bronco's running game is in shambles, Luck doesn't know which team he plays for, and Allen with only two passes...the Ddy's are in some trouble if their stars don't remember how to play.

Upset alert on last week's points leader, the tEDDy bEARs!  Dropping down to second-to-last with only 88 pts., the bEARs' fancy new logo was tarnished by the subpar performances by star running backs D.Murray and Ivory.  Their struggle happened just in time for the young Futures to squeeze out the win, even after losing T.Coleman midgame.

For the Long Haul looked to be in a dominant position in the early games, but Julio showed up and put a stop to that, proving why he's the team's namesake.  Hill's two fumbles had him sidelined for much of the second half of the game, and Miami continues to keep Miller uninvolved, unfortunately for the Haul.  Even with Gurley's imminent return, the Haul might find themselves looking to the future for success.

Which brings us to Sicarios vs. ACL.  Oh man.  The-team-that-should-be-named-KARMA.  The Sicarios team manager attempted a viewership boost by releasing a video to the media slamming ACL's investment in Odell Beckham, Jr.  Beckham's response to said video:

Week 3 Preview

Time and again Julio has been there to save his Friends from defeat, but with only a 6 pt. projected lead on ACL, that trend may finally come to an end.  Barring an extremely close game, the winner of this matchup will emerge as Division leader, so the pressure is on early.  Charles has been one of the few consistent round 1 picks this season, and going up against a banged up Green Bay is a great opportunity for him to keep it up.  With both Romo and Dez out of commission, ACL's hopes lie in Dallas investing heavily in J.Randle.

After last week's embarrassing performance, the Sicarios are out for redemption.  Unfortunately, they are suffering from a lack of options at QB since Romo's injury.  If they can find a suitable replacement, they might not be in such bad shape since Land O' Nutts are dealing with their own injury woes with the day-by-day development of Lacy's injury.  Depending on who ends up playing, this one could really go either way.

This matchup will be incredibly difficult to predict, since the bEARs have demonstrated a clear lack of consistency week to week.  The team would be in bad shape after Brees' apparent injury, but in a ridiculous turn of events, their heavy investment in two start QBs during the draft is actually going to pay off.  The amazing-on-paper QB for the BgDkDdys has yet to justify his own investment, but this week's game against the Titans should give Luck an opportunity to calm his owners down.  With Peyton showing some signs of life last week, both Sanders and Thomas have hope to put up big numbers.

The E-Munnies have been dominating the league thus far, with the explosive force of New England blowing out their opponents time and again.  Can that streak continue?  Will Gronk ever wear down?  Will Edelman prove to be the biggest PPR steal of the draft?  Victorious Secret hopes to put a stop to the run, and after last week's impressive performance, they are in a good position to do so.  The Brown/Ben hype is real, and if Secret can figure out what to do with their TE position, they could prove more trouble than the E-Munnies were prepared for.

We might as well call this week's matchup the Ambulance Bowl, with all of the questionable and IR tags on each of these teams.  It's getting to the point where you almost just feel bad for the Haul.  The preseason was so promising, and it just hasn't worked out for them.  For once, though, an injury might actually work in their favor, since T.Coleman's departure has made room for Freeman to take his shot.  The Futures are gambling on the Bortles/Robinson connection this week, which is always risky when your hopes lie in Jacksonville.
