Ddy's, you're beautiful! What a way to wrap up the season with three upsets in a row! Even though it wasn't enough to get you into the playoffs, it was a damn impressive example of never giving up. Also you knocked Doctor B out of the round 1 bye, so that's cool too.
Week 13 Review
The closest match ended up being between the bEARs and E-Munnies, with the latter pulling it off with a kicker who somehow scored 22pts. Otherwise it was kind of an ugly matchup, with Gronk only getting 4, Moore putting up 0, and of course the aforementioned dud from Brees. Each team still makes the playoffs, but they probably expect better performances out of their players going into these next crucial weeks.
The Futures made short work of the Zombies (still reeling from the Hunt news, I'm sure), and ACL was able to hold off Runner Runner to retake the bye week from Doctor B. The loss also ensures Runner Runner end up with the 1st overall pick next season, so they can't be too upset! Land O'Nutts finished their season in true franchise fashion, with a random upset. Thank AP's 90yarder for this one.
Week 14 Preview
Two former champions battling it out for the chance to be the first 2-time winner. The bEARs took a heavy hit today, with Conner being declared out at the worst possible time (ok, maybe 10 minutes before kickoff is worse...but still). The Futures took their own hit with Kirk being placed on IR, but it's unlikely he would have started for them anyway. Once the bEARs figure out their Conner replacement, this match actually should project about even, which is everything you want in a playoff match! The winner will advance to face ACL in the semifinals.
First year in the league and already making playoffs, it's not a bad introduction for Doctor B. They are projected favorites against their opponent, Show Me Your TDs, a team that can't seem to stop adding guys to IR, PUP, and holdouts. It's been a hard road for the poor TDs, and they'll be in the rough spot of choosing between banged-up Royce Freeman and Fournette-accompanied TJ Yeldon. The winner will advance to face the E-Munnies in the semifinals.
