Week 13

Sorry again for getting this out late.  I just couldn't find the words for such a depressing week.  Not only have four teams been eliminated from playoff contention in a single week, but even more tragic is ACL's fall from the top spot in Colorexico.  Strangely enough, the team is still ranked 1st, but because of our wacky divisional tiebreaking rules, Doctor B currently rests atop the division.  If they can maintain their current postition, they'll end up with the bye.  The eliminated teams are the Zombies, Runner Runner, BgDkDdy, and, despite their improved season, Land O'Nutts.  The other six teams will make playoffs, now it's just about positioning.

Week 12 Review

Well, ACL really dropped the ball in an important matchup.  The one week they were without Kelce was the one week the Giants decided to hide the fact that Engram wasn't gonna be playing.  Add on the colossal Green Bay meltdown...well.  Things weren't great for ACL team owner on Sunday night.  The win is what gave Doctor B the current lead over their division rival.  The E-Munnies, Futures, and tEDDy bEARs all put the final nails in their respective opponents' seasons.  The Ddy's were able to pull off one last victory against the TDs, which will actually play an important part in the playoff picture since I believe means that E-Munnies have now clinched their division's bye.

Week 13 Preview

This is a little less of a preview since week 13 is already underway, but there are still a few important matchups as we wind down the regular season.

ACL definitely needs the win if they are to have any hope of retaking the bye.  They'll also need Doctor B to lose, so they are only halfway in control of their fate this week.  They've kicked off the week with a relative dud out of Kamara, but a decent showing from Zeke.  Their biggest hurdle will be facing down the monster that is Pat Mahomes.

Thursday night's low scoring game effected each teams relatively equally, with TDs denied to both MT and Amari.  Still, the Futures should have little trouble finishing out the season with a win, especially if the Zombies leave Jackson in the lineup!

Well Brees really put a damper on what should have been an epic final game for each of these teams!  Nevertheless, even though the Munnies' spot is largely set in stone, the bEARs can still potentially overtake the TDs for seeding purposes going into the playoffs.  They will need to win and the TDs lose for that to happen.

Unfortunately, that isn't likely to happen, as the TDs play the recently eliminated Nutts who just had Ingram drop a measely 4pts on them.  I've been wrong plenty of times this season regarding the Nutts, so wouldn't really be surprised if they pulled off the upset.  But I kind of would.

The Ddys can't make a run this year, but they are doing a great job playing spoiler!  And hopefully they keep it up this week against the current bye-holder, Doctor B.  We'll need a big game from Denver (ugh that just hurts to type...).

Well, that's it for the regular season.  Congrats to the 6 playoff teams, and congrats to the other 4 on their early 2019 rookie picks!  Never a bad time to start researching those college studs in preparation.
