Week 10

While not yet eliminated from playoff contention, the BgDkDdys are now the first team unable to earn a playoff bye week this season.  On the other side of things, The TDs winning streak finally came to an end at the hands of ACL, tying the two teams at 7-2 each.  Meanwhile the E-Munnies have been continuing their climb up from the dredges, with a 5th consecutive win, bringing them only a game away from division lead.

Week 9 Review

The TDs looked unstoppable going into last week, but Travis Benjamin had other plans.  It's ironic that it would have actually benefited the team to leave an inactive player in that flex spot.  Goff did everything he could for the Nutts, but...damn.  They were nearly lapped by a dominant performance out of the bEARs, who put up their second highest score in franchise history.  Of course, it didn't help that the Nutts left a non-starter in at LB.

As mentioned the Munnies made short work of the Ddys, and have seemed unaffected by Gronk's repeated inaction this season.  Runner Runner lost their third straight game, this time to the Zombies who have now overtaken them in the standings!  The Zombies are only a game away from a wildcard, don't sleep on them yet!

Finally, Doctor B won a crucial divisional matchup against The Futures, putting them second in the division and two games off the bye.  The Futures' receiver corps really let them down this week, with only 28pts from all four wideouts combined.  Doctor B probably could've earned the top score this week if they hadn't left Diggs in, but yet again their bench didn't afford them many options.

Week 10 Preview

The Futures are without John Brown this week, but they get DJ back so I'd call that a decent swap!  Unfortunately they'll face an ACL team that gets both Saquon and OBJ back.  Projected 30pt underdogs, the Futures will need some of that Nutt's luck to take on the division leader.

This is a rough week for the TDs following their first loss in two months.  They have 11 players either on PUP, IR, bye, or holding out.  Not a great way to close out the regular season.  Meanwhile their opponent is at nearly full strength, depending on the Gronk situation.  Earlier in the season I would have had this pegged for a high-scoring, close matchup...but at this point I think it's an easy call for the defending champs.

The Zombies surprised everyone and put themselves in position to still make a run at the playoffs!  With Diggs on bye and AJ Green out for a few weeks, the good Doctor might actually have some trouble.  If only the Zombies could figure out that pesky QB position.

I had to share that image for this matchup to really sink in.  That's the Ddy's starting lineup, right now.  I don't know if I really have to say much else.  The bEARs are projected to score three times as much as the Ddys.  Ok, now I'm done.

Runner Runner has their own bye week issues, and it couldn't have come at a worse time as they've fallen to last place in the division.  The Nutts welcome any luck they can get, though, as their last loss puts their tentative hold of a wildcard spot in jeopardy.  I'm not sure what kind of prediction to make here, as Runner Runner still has 5 inactives in the lineup, but it will likely be a close one as these two race their way out of the bottom.

Four weeks left in the regular season and nobody's out of the running, yet!  Though times are dire for some, don't yet give up hope.  This is a silly game, and anything can happen!
