I don't have as much time this week, so this one will be short and sweet. With the Ddy's win, no teams have yet been eliminated! Two weeks from the playoffs and, at least mathematically, every single team still could potentially make it to the show. While the top 5 teams are more or less established with 7 wins or more, that last wildcard spot is still up for grabs.
The Munnies faced a brutally close loss to The Futures, which should have resulted in a bad week for the team, but luckily the bEARs had their back, knocking the TDs down a peg. As a result of that loss, the TDs lost their divisional record lead over the Munnies, which means the tie goes to the defending champ. The Doctor and Futures, both with wins, are chomping at the bit to take the lead away from ACL, but a 180pt performance kept them in the lead by a single game.
Land O'Nutts loss to the Ddys dropped them from their hold over the last wildcard, overtaken now by the bEARs. Interestingly enough, both the bEARs and the Nutts face E-Munnies in the next two weeks, so the defending champ has a bit to say about whom they want to allow in the playoffs.
The Zombies and Runner Runner both losing puts them tied for last in the division, but again either team could overtake that last wildcard spot assuming they win out (and the bEARs/Nutts both lose out). It's a long shot, but still possible! They each face former champions this week, though, so they'll need to pull some upsets in the process.
Sorry I could dive too deep into the matchups this week, but it's exciting as we wind down the season! A quick reminder to everyone that our trade deadline is the kickoff of week 13, so you have just over a week to make any last minute adjustments! If anyone wants to trade future picks, remember you have to pay that year's dues first.
