Week 2

It's finally here!  And I'm only a week behind on the blog!  It's always a joy watching my amazing team but up below-average points...and still winning.  I don't know if ACL could have teed it up any better for the E-Munnies, but a win's a win!

Week 1 Review

The Futures put up a monstrous week 1 score, in spite of losing Tyreek.  CMC's 40 pts nearly doubled the defending champ's best player.  Speaking of, the good Doctor is gonna need to revisit some of his start/sit options.  Guice/Dixon/Diggs combined for 13pts...ouch.

The Zombies had probably the worst luck out of all of us, though, putting up the 3rd highest score and still losing to the league's newest franchise.  Jacobs came out hot proving how valuable that 1.01 pick can be right out the gate, and I don't even know how to analyze Ekeler's ridiculous 3TD game.  Throw in a little Mahomes and there isn't much can be done.

The closest matchup was between the TDs and the bEARs, with only 5pts between them.  As is typical, the swing came about against the TDs due to some questionable coaching choices (seriously, Yeldon?).  It's also tragically hilarious that the TDs were forced to sit AB week 1 and then also left Hollywood Brown and his 34pt game on the bench.

Which brings us to the last matchup between the Nutts and the Ddys.  Losing Luck in the offseason has made it a difficult choice at QB for the latter team.  While they still have plenty of potential in their rookies and sophomore players, it might be a rebuild year for the team as they look for their next franchise QB.

Week 2 Preview

I feel like if last week hadn't happened, ACL would easily have this one in the bag.  But it did happen.  And if it happens again, The Futures will wipe the floor with the always-bridesmaid.  ACL Will be hoping that Rodgers remembers that he's Rodgers moving forward, and also that CMC calms the fuck down.

What if I told you that for the first two weeks of the season the E-Munnies would start two different quarterbacks, and neither of them named Brady?  The sun has certainly set on the Patriots Position Players, with rookie TE Hockenson nicely filling the void left by Gronk.  The bEARs are still projected the win, however, likely on the backs of Nuk and Chubb.

The Ddys look to be riding the hot hand, putting vulture Malcolm Brown in the lineup this week against Reek's Gurley.  It would certainly be glorious if last week's trend continues in LA.  Otherwise, though, this matchup looks like a foregone conclusion, giving our newcomer a 2-0 start to their first season.

The TDs have waited a long time for this week.  It's been quite a while since he's been able to start both Bell and AB.  And now they're joined by the most promising rookie WR this season!  The Nutts are fresh off a win, but this on looks likely to go the other way, unless Watkins somehow keeps up his random week 1 production.

Projections be damned.  Doctor B underperformed badly last week, and the Zombies put up a top 3 score.  If those prove to be trends rather than outliers, this could be another rough week for the defending champs.

I can't promise I'll get one of these out every week like in seasons' past, but I'll do my best!  Hopefully you all are still enjoying this game as much as I do (I know, probably not possible).  Good luck in week 2!
