Week 7

Going into week 7 and only one team remains undefeated.  I think it's safe to say it's not a fluke at this point.  The Nutts have finally clawed their way out of the basement to the big stage!  No other team even has 5 wins while they are sitting pretty with 6.  They and the bEARs seem pretty set at the top of Newizona, while Colorexico's top 2 spots are in heated contention with Reek, ACL, and the Futures all sitting at 4-2.

Week 6 Review

ACL has been doing everything they can to try and keep the new upstart, Reek, from taking the lead, but then the aforementioned Nutts had to go and ruin everything with a 141pt score.  Luckily the Munnies did their part by absolutely crushing the newbies after Dissly's gruesome injury.

The defending champs lost to the bEARs, and have fallen to 2-4 going into the midpoint of the season.  Karma, perhaps?

The Ddy's GM seems to be asleep at the wheel, starting two defenders on bye during their loss to the Futures.  I appreciate the commitment to Minshew, but don't just toss in the towel already!

The closest matchup was between the Zombies and TDs.  The Zombies finally got on the board with their first win!  True to form, the TDs again had an inactive player in the lineup, though to be fair, Hollywood's declaration came pretty late (I may or may not have started him in a couple other leagues as well, whoops).

Week 7 Preview

Well the Zombies find themselves in another rough spot, but it's something they have to be used to by now.  Hopefully the morale boost from last week's win can carry them through!  They'll need a solution in place of Greg Olsen this week as they take on the E-Munnies.  They'll have a chance, though, since the Munnies are without Evans and Adams (again).

Both teams 4-2, but Reek's Revenge has a bit more on the line as their hold over the division is tenuous.  A single loss and they could fall as low as 3rd.  No Gurley and now out Dissly, they have some work to do to take on the bEARs whose only missing starter this week is at LB.  UPDATE: Reek is making moves!  They made a move for Hunter Henry to fill their noticeable gap at TE.

I don't think I can say anything about this other than I hope you're ready for 2-5, Doctor B!  The Nutts have been literally unstoppable, and it doesn't look like there's any reason to expect otherwise now.

ACL will finally have the excuse to bench Odell this season; something that likely should have happened a while ago.  It'll be a dice roll for them at WR as they take on the absent-minded Ddys.  Hopefully the latter team seizes the opportunity, since it's far too early to call it quits on playoffs in a league as tumultuous as this one!

The TDs have the dubious honor of being the team that gets the Futures sans-CMC, the lucky bastards.  At 1-5, they could use the good news.  The Futures are one game off from leading the division, so they'll be hoping to keep the TDs losing streak going.

We're just about halfway through the season, and I hope everyone's enjoying themselves!  The cracks in my "super team" are definitely showing...which is great...  I'm channeling my inner GB fandom I think, as my window to win flies by with a series of wasted opportunities.
