Week 10

It's been a rough few weeks for our newest owner, as Reek's Revenge finds themselves near the bottom of the division after four straight losses.  Meanwhile the Nutts are trucking right along at 8-1!  The last time a team had an 8-1 start to the season was the E-Munnies back in 2016.  In the other division the Futures and ACL are neck and neck fighting for that playoff bye.  With four weeks left in the season, no team has yet been eliminated from playoff contention, though it will be a long road for the 2-7 teams.

Week 9 Review

ACL barely pulled off the win against Reek's Revenge, mostly thanks to the monster performance from Lockett.  As fate would have it, the decision to bench Odell almost came back to bite the team.  The Zombies put up a reasonable score but it wasn't enough to defeat the Futures, who continue to dominate even during a week they were SOL at TE.

The bEARs had an uncharacteristically low scoring game, though it didn't largely matter since the Munnies went off for almost 170pts.  I think back to that time, years ago, when I almost traded for Evans, and I feel the regret.

While the Nutts have been dominating this season, the win this week was a narrow one as they only overcame the TDs by 3pts.  The TDs, of course, have had a rough season as it is, and though they aren't mathematically eliminated yet they are likely looking at an early pick in 2020.

Finally we saw our defending champ break the losing streak with a win against the Ddys.  The latter team is probably happy to see their rookie RB getting some proper use, but they have their work cut out for them if they hope to snag one of the wildcard spots this season.

Week 10 Preview

Both teams on the outside looking in this week, and will need to start winning out to hope at a wildcard spot.  Unfortunately, they are both looking at some rough byes.  TDs are out Ertz and Royce, while the Ddys just lost Minshew and are out both Lindsay and Sutton.  Sorry fellas there's not a lot of positivity in this one...well except one of you is for sure to win!

This one is pretty fun as both teams will be invested in where Russell decides to throw the ball most.  DK and Lockett have both been pretty reliable starters this season, but will the addition of Gordon change the target share?  We wait with bated breath.

I don't care what the projections say (good ones or otherwise), I'm all in on the Nutts!  If they defeat the Munnies they will be the first team in league history to start the season at 9-1.  You gotta root for history.  Also it's the New England bye week, so I think fate's not with the Munnies this time.

David Johnson sure has been an enigma this season, and likely a headache for the Futures.  It's not like you can bench the guy if he's starting, right?  Luckily for them they've had CMC carrying the load for the entire backfield.  Reek is a 30pt dog going into this matchup, so it seems the losing streak may continue.  Unless of course Mahomes actually does have a mutant knee and somehow comes back this week.

So the big question facing a lot of fantasy owners out there: how badly is Hunt going to effect Chubb's production now that he's back?  It's pretty great that the two player's owners face eachother this week!  Zombies could use all the help they can get, without Fournette and with Desean on IR.

Well we've gotten to that crux point of the season.  Depending on a couple of these matches, teams will start falling out of the playoff running for 2019, and enter the role of spoiler.   I hope all of your Halloweens have gone well, and that you have a non-stressful holiday season to look forward to!
