And so it ends, with the Nutts as the #1 seed and the Zombies making playoffs for the first time in franchise history. It's unfortunate that an inactive player in a starting lineup had such an effect on the playoff picture, and we may have to look at some bylaw modifications to prevent such things from happening in the future. But here we are, and it's time to look at the post season, which includes 3 of 4 former champions!
Round 1 Preview
A repeat of the 2017 finals sees these two former champs facing off once again. The bEARs have been happy to welcome Brees back to their starting lineup, but they'll have a tough go of it trying to put a stop to Lamar Jackson's ridiculous sophomore season. This match will also heavily depend on the Green Bay gameplan, with the bEARs hoping for a run-heavy script and the Munnies hoping Adams gets more play. Either way, the winner will be one step closer to being the first 2-time champion.
The unlikely contender faces off against the inaugural champ. Hunt returned to the field right in time to help the Zombies make their first playoff bid. The Futures are fresh off an incredibly close loss which cost them the round 1 bye, so will be hoping for another classic CMC blowup game to keep their championship hopes alive.
I hope the teams that have been eliminated still enjoyed our 5th season as a league! The rebuild years are rough, but they make the upcoming draft so much more exciting! The draft order is listed below, and I'll update it each week as teams are eliminated.
