Week 4

So much for figuring out an early playoff picture!  After week 3 not a single team remains undefeated, nor winless, meaning it's really anyone's game.  Also, I should really start using my powers for good.  Seems I've developed the ability to shit talk a team into winning crazy upsets.  I wonder who I should trash on this week?  *checks upcoming schedule*  That Doctor B team can't even get their logo updated, how can they possibly expect to set a lineup?

Week 3 Review

Fitzmagic time had a bit of a struggle in the first half of his game, making the Winston/Fitz debate an interesting one.  But he still put up a decent fantasy score with 32 points.  It wasn't enough, though, to defeat the ridiculous RB-corps on ACL.  Despite their two losses, the Zombies are still in the hunt, they'll just have to hope Fitz keeps the job or they'll be forced to rely on Derek Carr (a suitably horrifying thought).

The Futures pulled off their first win of the season thanks to the 200 yards from CMC.  Any fears over CMC's ability to do more than just catch the ball should be squashed.  The bEARs made a fun comeback attempt in the monday night game, but Connor didn't do quite enough to bring it home.

I'm sure you've all seen the image going around showing how the Pats are tied for worst in their division, and the Browns have a better record than them, right?  Pretty funny stuff.  Well this week, the Nutts faced the EMunnies, in what should have been a blowout by the Pats-heavy favorites.  After Matt Ryan put up almost 50 pts on the Nutts' bench, it would seem to be going that way.  But then Goff, Stills, Nelson, and Cupp all had huge games putting the Nutts at the second highest point scorers of the week!  The shit performance from Brady and Gronk kept the Munnies back, and they now find themselves last in their division.  Funny how life and art relate sometimes.

The Ddys/TDs game went about as expected, though the dud out of Fitz had to give the latter team a scare.  In the end the Royce vs. Lindsay battle went Royce's way, and the Ddys chose the wrong week to start the UDFA.

What a nailbiter for the last matchup, though!  Less than a point made the difference, and it came down to MNF and JuJu's big game.  Lucky break for the Doctor, who started an inactive player at safety (shame on you!).  Looking at a few of the players on Runner Runner's bench, that's gotta sting a bit.

Week 4 Preview

Team receiver vs. team running back, this match will determine the division leader going into next week.  Neither team suffers from any crucial byes, so it'll be decided by studs rather than benches.  Despite Doctor B having the edge in receivers, Odell and Barkley going up against New Orleans should give ACL the advantage.

The Nutts will be without their beloved AP this week, which may make it difficult for them to repeat last week's amazing performance.  They're up against the Zombies who would really like to put an end to this losing streak.  Both teams face tough choices at QB this week, and with projections so close it'll be important to make the right one!

Looking at their bench of promising rookies and sophomores, the bEARs are likely forced to keep starting Conner as long as Bell stays off the field.  That'll be the weak spot that the Ddys can take advantage of, if they can make the right flex choice.  With 3-4 decent receiver options on their bench, they'll have to decide if they wanna keep the Phillip Lindsay gamble going.

The Munnies are projected 20pt favorites, but we've seen how much that actually means.  In any case, they should pull off the win as TDs are relying on Fournette sitting out another week, or else they'll be forced to dig even deeper on their bench to replace Yeldon.  I mean, Gronk can't have three shitty weeks in a row, can he?

The Futures lost Jimmy G, which seemed a decent backup for Rivers, leaving them no options at QB.  I'm sure they'll shop waivers for a bye week fillin, but otherwise they are all in on the baby maker.  They'll also be without CMC, leaving them relying on should-be stud David Johnson...who hasn't been quite studly.  Once they swap their inactive players out they'll actually be projected favorites over Runner Runner, a team that would really like to shake off the sting of last week's close loss.  Luckily they won't have to wonder if Cam is the better start this time.

We sure do love our parity, and the close standings after three weeks shows it.  I hope everyone's having a great time, and good luck this week!
