Week 5

I don't want to spend every week talking down on our reigning champ, just most weeks!  Here's a fun fact: the E-Munnies have the 2nd highest points scored, yet remain dead last in their division (and 2nd to last overall).  That's some rough luck!  The two division continue to mirror each other, with a 3-1, 1-3, and three 2-2 teams in each.

Week 4 Review

The Ddys came out swinging!  169 pts for a new franchise record (beating out their 168 against the Futures in week 7 of 2016)!  An unfortunate matchup for the bEARs who put up a respectable 140pts themselves.  Doctor B took a loss after putting up the team's lowest score this season, against the monster performance out of ACL.

The Nutts continue their unprecedented winning streak, this time with 141pts against the Zombies, and that was with an inactive Carson in the starting lineup!  This team has decided it's going to win in spite of its coach.  Runner Runner had good games out of Mahomes and Gurley, but ran into a wall facing the Futures and their 27pts from Cook, leaving both teams 2-2.  We already mentioned the poor luck the Munnies have had this year, and this week it was for the benefit of the TDs, who now lead their division at 3-1.

Week 5 Preview

Once Runner Runner decides who they are gonna swap in for ARob this week, they'll be around 30pt underdogs going up against ACL.  It's not an impossible mountain to climb, but they will need Mahomes to continue his awesome season if they hope to overtake the division leader (hopefully with another 40pt performance!).

It looks like Doctor B finally put together a complete lineup, which is ironic considering their opponent this week.  The TDs have skated through Bell's holdout just fine, it's almost like they won't even need him to come back!  In the mean time they'll continue to rely on the Denver rookie.

The bEARs are projected 30pt favorites, but I dunno if I'd take that bet with the way the Nutts have been blowing up the last two weeks.  Brees at home or Big Ben at home?  I know I always talk about "tough QB choices", but...well...there it is.  The Nutts are happy to welcome Ingram back to their lineup, and seems they are trusting him right out the gate!

Fitzmagic benched, Desean on bye, and both Hilton and Fournette declared inactive...this is a rough week for the Zombies.  After swapping in Carr they'll have to make some deep reaches into their bench to take on the Futures, who aren't missing any of their significant starters.

Only 3pts separate these two teams' projected scores, and what a story they'll tell!  The E-Munnies, desperate to get out of their rut and retake their rightful position atop the division.  And the BgDkDdys eager to follow up their dominant performance from last week to defeat the defending champ and potentially overtake the TDs for division lead.  Glancing through the starting rosters I'm a bit shocked to see that the Munnies (formerly Patriots Position Players) are only starting a single offensive New Englander.  How the times have changed.  We'll see how much they regret that choice after tonight's game!

Alright guys, I hope everyone's still enjoying their season!  With no undefeated teams, the playoffs are still within reach of every team, so keep setting those lineups and scanning waivers!  Good luck!
