Week 5 Preview

If you build it, they will come.  Or in this case, if you make a big trade, so will everyone else!  After three weeks of silence, the league erupted in trades last week, making things very interesting very quickly.  No players were off limits (well, maybe except for a certain player whose team is named after them, that would be kind of awkward).  All that, and the seemingly unstoppable E-Munnies lost?  This season's looking up!

Week 4 Review

I don't have as much time this week to delve into details, so I will just get to the highlights.  ACL suffered a crushingly close defeat at the hands of The Futures, so close that a single 4th-quarter-on-Monday-night TD being called back from Ingram made the difference.  Both managers were out of town during the pivotal moment, but both had to deal with the crush of defeat (rough night for AZ).

The tEDDy bEARs were in top form when they needed to be to put an end to the undefeated E-Munnies.  New England's bye was too much to overcome, as the team didn't even break 100pts.

Despite the fruits of their multiple trades only putting up 24pts between 3 starters, the newly renamed Runner Runner was still able to put up the most points this week, largely on the back of Freeman's second monster game in a row.  The Ddy's reliance on Denver's offense is starting to have its toll.

Less than 3pts separated the TDs and Nutts, and for the 2nd week in a row, TDs found themselves on the short end.  Even starting Decker wouldn't have saved them.

132-89.  Not much else really needs to be said about the last match.  Julio felt so bad he only put up 38 yards, but it didn't really matter.  The Sicarios need Lynch to return, badly.

Week 5 Preview

Revenge game for Randle and Hurns, as they face their former team on the field (though Hurns does look more fitting in his new team's colors).  The experts are split evenly, even through the two unbiased judges.  ACL will be relying heavily on Eli's ability to find OBJ, and Jones continuing to catch those redzone targets.

Now that the New England bye nonsense is out of the way, the E-Munnies are right back to being favored over most opponents.  The BgDkDdys have their own soft matchup with Denver facing Oakland, so this should be a high-scoring, close match.  It will come down to which defense is worse, the Cowboys or the Raiders.

Another consensus expert pick, The Futures are actually scheduled for a loss this week (following their season's pattern).  It just doesn't look likely for Sicarios, with Lynch's lingering injury and Marshall's bye.

A grudgematch between childhood friends, this should be another close one for both the tEDDy bEARs and Land O' Nutts.  This should be particularly interesting as both teams are invested heavily in Green Bay.  Will the Rams put a stop to Lacy, forcing Rodgers to throw?  Or will they look to neutralize the throwing game, giving Lacy more room to run?  Experts are split, it's anyone's game.

Ever since Julio and Friends silenced the experts two weeks ago, they have looked uncontainable, and this week is no different.  Suffering heavily from byes and lukewarm investments, Show Me Your TDs will need to pull an upset to beat the likes of Charles and Jones.
