Week 4

That Monday night game, tho.  This week had plenty of studs putting up duds, others putting up historic high scores, and all of it while avoiding any new major injuries!  Also the Jets happened, so that was fun.  The makeup of each division is starting to take shape, and a few teams find themselves in unexpected places (Julio and Friends are last in Colorexico, for one).  Throw in some new ammo for the Tevin versus Devonta debate, and you have a recipe for another exciting week of dynasty football!

Week 3 Review

Can we go back in time and redo last year's championship?  The rematch this week resulted in both teams' highest score of the season so far.  Even though ACL put the match away after Sunday night, Tevin Coleman made for an exciting finish with his unprecedented 3 TDs.  The loss sets the Futures off to a bad start, however they had the same record last time this year and were still able to win the whole thing.

It's getting to the point where you wonder if the Patriots (and by extension, the E-Munnies) even need Brady to come back.  The Munnies are now the last remaining undefeated team after taking out the bEARs.  Despite much of their team putting up respectable scores, the play that saw Mathews removed from the game proved too costly for even Brees to make up.

Last week I said that whichever team performed best between the Packers and Steelers would decide the Nutts vs. TDs matchup, and I was very wrong.  Green Bay looked like their old selves, and Pittsburgh looked like garbage, yet TDs was still able to defeat the Nutts.  The lame duck scores from Britt and Witten can likely be blamed.

With six players injured Sicarios don't have much choice when it comes to who they should start every week.  Luckily for them, their healthy players performed just well enough to take advantage of an unusual under-performance from Julio and Friends.  If anyone ever said that Atlanta would beat New Orleans 45-32, and that Julio would only have a single reception for 16 yards, you would call them crazy.  Any given Monday?

Usually when you leave a 30pt scoring RB on the bench, it's not going to be a good time for you, but Runner Runner didn't have that problem.  Gurley finally found the endzone, and he doubled up to make up for lost time.  And then there was Marvin Jones with his 38pt bombshell.  We should take a moment to bow our heads for the BgDkDdys.  Fitzpatrick.  6 interceptions.  Lowest QB rating in NFL history.  -1.4pts.

Week 4 Preview

Julio and Friends have been on a bit of a downward spiral, losing their last two matchups including one with a team-low score of 83pts.  The team is hoping to shake off whatever it was that kept it's studs down last week as they face their division rival this week.  ACL is forced to slum it with Big Ben a week after the Steelers completely fell apart against the Eagles.  They also just sent away surprising start Christine Michael after his long awaited breakout game.  Of all the weeks for the Friends to turn it around, this is a good opportunity.

Green Bay's bye week might as well be a death sentence for the Nutts, as it leaves them without Lacy and Jordy.  The team was already struggling after the loss of AP, so they need something to change in their favor, and they need it soon  (maybe some wedding luck is in order?).  Sicarios, on the other hand, seem to be trending in the right direction after last week's win.  Their acquisition of Michael to take over during Rawls' absence should help the team remain competitive week to week, as long as they don't suffer any more injuries.

Do the Ddy's have it in them to start Fitz again?  We'll see as they go up against the bEARs, who have the pleasure of waiting out Dez's MRI news but otherwise seem to have most positions locked down.  The Ddy's have had a rough start to the season, and are currently the only team with no wins.  On top of that, they just got the brutal news that Watt has been placed on IR, likely for the season.  Stranger things have happened, but it's unlikely this is the week they turn it around.

Las year at this time, if you saw this matchup, the description would have gone as one sided as the last paragraph, but what a difference a year makes!  The TDs are actually favored to win against the E-Munnies by a 15pt margin.  A win could be enough to propel the TDs to top of the division.  The E-Munnies are basically freerolling at this point, anyway, as they only have one more week without Brady and their entire offense getting an upgrade.

Both teams claimed their Gordon/Landry trade benefited both sides, and this week will be the first test.  We might also get to see the ultimate showdown in the Tevin/Devonta debate, as the two Atlanta backs will be starting for opposing teams.  The Futures need a win this week or they risk having to fight for a wildcard spot, while the Runners winning could be enough for them to take the #1 spot away from ACL.
