Week 9

They did it!  Sicarios started Cooks and they won a match!  Tragically, as a result of this victory, BgDkDdy has been eliminated from divisional contention.  There is still chance they could go on a run to earn one of the wildcard spots, though!

Week 8 Review

The tEDDy bEARs didn't take too kindly to being belittled in this blog this year, and so brought ACL back down to Earth.  Despite a respectable performance from the team, Reed's unlikely return proved the deciding factor.  As a result of the loss, ACL is now tied in record with Runner Runner for the divisional lead, only beating them out by H2H record and overall points.  This looks to be a tight race for the bye going into the last stretch of the season.

The Kansas City backfield curse strikes Julio and Friends again!  Ware suffered a concussion in the game limiting his points, and Charles was sent to IR.  The injuries left a hole in an otherwise stellar week, which was all the E-Munnies needed to keep their run going and maintain their divisional lead.  Though in last place in the division, the Friends are not out of contention yet.  Luckily they've held onto Charcandrick West all this time.

The Futures put up a league-high score of 158 points this week against Land O'Nutts.  This was actually a crucial win, as both of these teams are in the running for the wildcard spots in the playoffs.  The Nutts still have the lead, but only by a single win.

As it turns out, when the Steelers are on bye is when Show Me Your TDs aren't so great.  They put up the lowest score of the week at only 62 points, giving Runner Runner the win they needed to tie for the divisional lead.  The loss puts TDs at second place in Newizona to the E-Munnies, whom have only lost once this season.  That one loss, however, was to TDs themselves, giving TDs the tiebreaker if they can catch back up.

Week 9 Preview

Projected as 30pt underdogs, Sicarios newfound victory might be short lived.  With Runner Runner nipping at their heels, ACL can't afford any more losses if they want to keep the playoff bye.  That said, with Ingram in the doghouse this matchup might be determined by who Brees favors most this week, Thomas or Cooks.  Saints reciever roulette, should be fun!

What do you get when the Munnies and Futures face off the week New England and Arizona are on bye?  A riveting battle between second-stringers.  One team got lucky with the schedule this week.

Blessed with fatherhood but not in fantasy, BgDkDdy can still pull off a miracle run and make the playoffs, but it needs to start this week against the Nutts.  Once they swap in an active player for Hill, it actually projects to be a close matchup.  The Nutts only have a tenuous grasp on the second wildcard spot, and can't very well afford a divisional loss.

Another close one, the tbTD matchup is projected less than a point apart.  Brees returning couldn't come at a better time for the TDs to retake the divisional bye.  In order to keep up, the bEARs will need a similar return from injury by Montgomery.

It's getting to the point where it's depressing to talk about Julio and Friends games.  They were such a dominant team last season, but injuries and just bad luck have them in last place in the division.  It's hard to determine what their lineup will be this week, but hopefully they plug in some active guys to take on Runner Runner.  The latter is close to overtaking ACL for the divisional lead, every win counts.
