Well what do you know. The #1 team in the regular season with the top seed in the playoffs actually won the whole thing. This team has dominated the regular season for two years running, last year thanks in large part to avoiding major injuries during an injury-ridden year, and this year by relying on old, reliable guys like DeMarco, Crabtree, and the one and only Drew Brees.
Even though things finally started to click for Runner Runner, mediocre scores out of Matthews, DT, and even late add Powell let them down in the end. The team is younger, though, and with players returning from IR they should remain a threat in the coming seasons.
MOST importantly, I would be remiss if I didn't point out the riveting 3rd place game between the E-Munnies and ACL, the latter of whom scored 181pts with an inactive Miller still in the lineup from last week. Yah. That hurts.
Off Season
That all said, we've now entered the off season. Trading will reopen in the morning, so teams will be able to trade players and draft picks. Remember, if you want to trade picks from next (or the following) season, you have to pay your dues for whichever season's picks you are trading PRIOR to trading them. Waivers will be locked until after next season's draft. The draft will occur in June after the NFL draft, just as we did this past summer. Prior to the draft, any players on IR must be activated. When the draft begins, rosters will expand to 38, again just as last season, where they will remain until after the final preseason game.
