Week 13

And then there were six.  Sicarios, The Futures, and Julio and Friends have all joined BgDkDdys outside of playoff contention for year 2.  The trophy will have a new home!  The two wildcard teams will be Show Me Your TDs and Land O'Nutts, regardless of this week's outcome.  But the two byes are still in contention between the top four teams.  As luck would have it, those four teams actually face each other directly in the last week of the regular season.  How awesome is that?

Week 12 Review

ACL defeated their 2015 rival, ending their chances at another playoff appearance.  The team was plagued by injuries and just bad luck, but will have some early picks to attempt again in 2017.  It was an important win for ACL as their tie with Runner Runner continues.  The latter team ended our former champion's attempts at a repeat victory (and by only 5 points!).

Land O'Nutts gave a solid attempt against the E-Munnies, but it wasn't quite enough.  It was a worrying loss, though the team was saved by other teams losing.  The tEDDy bEARs crushed Sicarios, and in a cruel twist of fate it was largely the fault of Brandin Cooks not getting a single point despite New Orleans dominant victory.

Finally, in what could arguably be the biggest upset in league history, the already-eliminated BgDkDdy took down early season favorites Show Me Your TDs.  Cousins is a monster.  The loss takes TDs out of bye-contention, and solidifies them as the first wildcard.

Week 13 Preview

A 3 point spread is fitting for the last in-season battle between these two teams, which have been neck and neck all season long going for the Colorexico bye.  They will be the only two teams from the division to make the playoffs this year, and the bye could prove a huge advantage for one of them against the other four (huge).  Zeke vs. Rudolph will kick off this matchup tonight in what could be a juicy Zimmer-less Thursday night game.

Another matchup and another bye up for grabs!  It's a rough week for the bEARs to be without Murray with so much on the line.  The E-Munnies also suffered a pretty devastating loss this week, but it's a bit more permanent, as Gronk will not be there for their playoff push.  Can Bennett carry the load solo?

A wildcard battle that doesnt effect anything as far as standings, these two teams can rest easy this week.  Unless they want to make a statement, anyway.

From league winner to out of the playoffs in a single season.  Fantasy football is a fickle bitch.  The Futures are still projected to beat Sicarios this week, but it will likely be a hollow victory at best.  Sicarios has had a bit more time to get used to the idea (even though they were only methematically eliminated last week), so a win for them would just be good fun.

Julio and Friends lost fewer games last season than anyone, and yet here they are.  But, there's no time like the present to get started on that next winning streak!  BgDkDdy has a couple of key players on bye this week (boo week 13 byes!), but who knows with this team.

It's been another great season, guys! I know I'm biased, as always, but I hope you've enjoyed this league as much as I have this year.  It sucks to get eliminated before the end, but I hope you'll all go down fighting to the bitter end!
