Week 15

Week 14 was a devastating one to many a playoff team.  The lowest scoring week in the last two years, it was a stressful one to say the least!  The aptly-named Wildcard Week was not kind to the two wildcards, who have joined the other 2016 losers (I say that with love, honest).  As the remaining teams prepare for the semifinals, the stakes are at their highest, since the losers will get nothing but a bad draft pick, while the winners will get paid.

Week 14 Review

Would you believe me if I told you a team that started Bell actually lost?  53pts, this performance will go down in the fantasy history books.  Remember the Jamaalocaust?  I wonder what they'll call this one.  Levastation? LeVeonslaught?  Regardless, the TDs went into the game with a sizeable lead early on, but luckily for ACL Rodgers is on a hot streak and did not struggle in the snow as many had predicted.  Add on a late-game touchdown from Odell, and ACL was able to pass the TDs.  It came down to a MNF miracle game from Wallace, who didn't pull it off.  Show Me Your TDs enjoyed a memorable season, and have proven themselves as formidable opponents.

On the other side of the bracket, it seemed a forgone conclusion after Sunday's games that Land O'Nutts had pulled off the upset and eliminated the E-Munnies.  Despite starting the inactive Riddick, they had established a 55pt lead, with only 3 players remaining for the Munnies.  Those three players?  Why the three Patriots skill position players, of course!  Brady went off, as you might've guessed, and the three players put up 61pts combined.  Fun fact: If the Nutts had started literally any other active player from their bench over Riddick, they would have won.  Check your lineups Sunday morning, folks!

Semifinals Preview

The bEARs got lucky with their bye, allowing them to avoid the potentially disastrous Forte injury.  This week they'll be hoping history does not repeat itself.  In last year's playoffs, the team had earned the 1st round bye and ended up losing in the semifinals to the eventual season champions.  ACL wants the exact same thing to happen this year.  With so many injuries to their RB corps, the bEARs will have to hope what they have left is up to the task (of course, when "what they have left" is Murray, that's not too difficult a thing to hope for).  ACL will need to choose correctly which of their WRs will go off, and which will have duds.  This has been a difficult decision for the team week after week.

Runner Runner has had an amazing season in spite of Cam's terrible one.  Similar to the bEARs, they were lucky to have the bye last week so they could avoid the goose eggs dropped by Freeman, Booker, and Gordon.  This week they are projected to be dominant favorites against the E-Munnies, whose Patriots face off against the formidable Denver defense.  The Munnies' hopes are simple and consistent, they need Brady to keep being Brady.

Hopefully we can enjoy a higher scoring week before we head into the championships!  Congratulations to those who have made it this far, and may the best (green and yellow) team win!
